A comprehensive set of wooden tiles printed with colour photographic and realistic images to inspire great story-telling and encourage curiosity about the world. The set includes 90 durable tiles featuring pictures of animals, characters, places, modes of transport, celebrations, weather and interesting objects.
Children can choose the tiles from specific categories and use relevant adjectives & linking words to recite or write a descriptive sentence, or randomly select the tiles to create a fun sequence of events or make an entertaining story. They could also be used for a phrase-making activity for older children: turn all the tiles face down and players select 3 randomly - turn them over and tell a story using all three pictures, make sure to include verbs, adverbs and adjectives!
The tiles are made from lightweight FSC basswood ply and are chunky enough to stand upright on a table. The clear photographic images represent imaginative and real situations for story-telling, but can also be used to develop an understanding of wider subjects - such as what is real, what is imagined and ways to understand the differences between the two.
