This beautiful set of story stones are designed by a local Nyungar artist and depict Aboriginal symbols relating to Country, Mob & Ceremony, Hunting & Gathering & bushfoods. These story stones are hand carved and engraved with indigenous symbols, the set comes with an additional hand painted and sealed stone. To assist you to understand each symbol a factsheet is included explaining the symbols represented in the set. The stones and fact sheet come with their own hand woven dilly bag for storage. These story stones are a multi use resource and will promote a greater understanding of Aboriginal culture and heritage. They could be used to enhance literacy through storytelling and could be used as a visual prop when reading books about Aboriginal culture and heritage. They would be great to include in a creative area as rubbing stones and are ideal to support and promote conversations about Aboriginal Meeting Places and Ceremonies.
