A variety of indigenous stories in a mixture of sizes. These paperback books will help children to engage and learn about our cultural heritage.

Author: Kirra Somerville
Kirra Somerville was born in Perth and is descended from the Martu people of the Western Desert in Western Australia. She loves to read and write, especially about animals in the Australian bush, Kirra wrote The Lizard Gang when she was nine years old and won a prize with this story in the 2004 WA Children's Book Council of Australia 'Make your own Storybook Competition'.

Author: Joanne Crawford
Joanne Crawford is descended from the Nhunda people of the Geraldton area of WA. She holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a degree in Early Childhood Education, and has worked for many years on developing educational resources for school curriculums.

Author: Frances Haji-Ali
Frances Haji-Ali is an educator. She has worked in Catholic schools across the Kimberley and is currently a school principal in Perth. Frances is a non-Indigenous collaborator.

Author: Lindsay Haji-Ali
Lindsay Haji-Ali is a descendant of the Yawuru/Karajarri people of the West Kimberley region of Western Australia. He is an accomplished artist and his designs and artworks are held in private and corporate collections.

Illustrator: Grace Fielding
Grace Fielding was raised at the Wandering Mission south east of Perth, Western Australia. She lived in Broome for many years where she is well known for her unique style of art and fabric printing, combining traditional dot art with contemporary images. Grace has won the Crichton Award for Illustration, and the WA Premier's Children's Book Award.

Illustrator: David Hardy
David Hardy is an Indigenous artist with more than eight years of animation experience with Walt Disney Animation Studios. He is a freelance illustrator, specialising in character design, portraits and caricatures.
