The Story Behind the Design
This design is inspired by Place of Saltwater, Yoolooburrabee ‘People of the Sand and Sea’. The ripple patterns reflect natures designs along the beach, that portray the tide lines as footprints along the shore. Where our old people lived and walked. Inspired by Minjerribah and Mulgumpin, North Stradbroke Island and Moreton Island, the design highlights the Dreaming creation period, influenced by the journeys of the ancestral pathways through land and sea that form our identity
