This colourful cushion depicts the “Three Rivers” by Bundjalung Artist Steven Bekue. Steven is a Bundjalung and Bidjara man. He has been painting for four years and his artwork consist of animals and landscapes from my Country which is made up of dots and lines with acrylic paint. This artwork “Three Rivers” depicts the Tweed River, Currumbin Creek and Tallebudgera Creek. The three rivers are the water ways where Steven was taught by his family to catch fish, crabs and go oystering, now he is doing the same with his family. The Three Rivers are on Bundjalung country.
Profit from each item sold goes directly back to the artists, which directly injects money into the local community to ensure a sustainable income for the artists and ensuring they are able to continue sharing our rich culture through their artwork.
