All walkboards are made from Class 1 durability Merbau hardwood, meaning the boards will last through the elements with ease. Each board comes with an exclusive cleat kit that allows the boards to be attached to all of play frames. Any equipment that may have a fall height of above 60cm requires soft fall, however we recommend softfall use with all playground equipment. Cleats require assembly. Trestle not included.
Cleats are compatable with Aussie Play structures and those that have 77.5mm circumference or 25mm diameter tubing.
To achieve maximum longevity from your outdoor wooden products, regular maintenance is required. Please inspect regularly, if looking weathered or grey, it's overdue for oiling. For best results oil at least every 6 months (depending on use and local atmospheric conditions) using either natural linseed oil or a plain food grade vegetable oil. Product Note: Merbau wood is used on all Aussie Play timber products. Merbau is very durable that will last outdoors for many years. No chemicals or harmful materials are used to coat the timber. Food grade vegetable oil is used, as such, Merbau can leach tannins that may stain. Tannins will generally leach when the timber is allowed to get wet. What can you do? Avoid getting the timber wet by packing away equipment in rainy weather. If this is not possible, avoid leaving the product on a surface that may stain (eg. Concrete). If it does get wet, wipe down the product with a disposable rag to remove any excess tannin. Note: the leaching will stop after a period of time. This varies dependant on the timber. It is not considered a fault in the timber, it is a feature of using a natural timber product. Timbers that contains high amounts of tannin are generally more durable timbers.
