What you'll need:

Instructions:

  1. Cut out heart shapes from your various materials, choose whatever you have on hand that might demonstrate different levels of absorbency.
  2. Mix dye or paint with water and place in jars, place dyes and pipettes on your table or tray. In your tray add your hearts!
  3. Explore how different materials absorb or repel the liquid when dropped on with pipettes, you can use/introduce contextually relevant language such as repel, absorb, saturate
